The TwinsRegular price £475.00
Ronnie and Reggie Kray were gangsters who, through their gang 'The Firm', ran parts of the East End of London like a fiefdom in the 1950s and 1960s. Despite their notoriety they were feted like celebrities and even appeared on chat shows.
Then in May 1969 the twin brothers were convicted of murder and sentenced to life. Ronnie died in Broadmoor in 1995, while Reggie died in 2000 following his release on compassionate grounds. This new painting has been something of an experiment in emulating the effect of newspaper halftone
